Pastor Douglas M. McConehea

Pastor Douglas M. McConehea, 80, of Springfield, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 13, 2026, in Forest Glen Healthcare Campus. He was born on January 17, 1945, in Springfield, the son of Hollis and Betty (Hites) McConehea. Pastor McConehea served the United Holiness Church congregation many years as their pastor. He was an ordained minister and devoted his life to understanding the Lord. He was retired from Navistar and will be remembered for his love for his family. He is survived by sons; Darryl (Paula) Daniel, Tony (Susan) Daniel, Kevin (Bridget) McConehea, daughters; Katherine McConehea and Becky (David) Laywell as well as his sister; Debbie Van Susen, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; Wanda McConehea, mother; Betty Hites, father; Hollis McConehea, sister; Pam Caudill, daughter; Angie Willis, son; Douglas Michael McConehea Jr. , granddaughter; Katie McConehea and great grandson; Brett Howard. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Frank Wildman officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services.
