Patti Marie Burton

Patti Marie Burton, 74, of Springfield, passed away August 27, 2023 at Northwood Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born August 24, 1949 in Springfield. Patti had worked as a beautician and at Schuler’s Bakery, where she enjoyed decorating cakes. She had attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her grandkids and family, having family dinners and card nights. Survivors include two children, Kimberly (Scott) Bageant and Richard Dean Burton (fiancée, Dawn McDaniel); grandchildren, Danielle Burton, Taylor and Mason Bageant, and Kimberly (Sebastian) Nelson; great-grandchildren, Asher and Avery Blake, Aurora, Dean, and Serena Nelson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 ½ years, Harold Dean Burton on February 8, 2015; daughter, Deana Burton-Foster; father, Ernest S. Blazer; mother and stepfather, Ruth (Dennis) McWilliams and Robert McWilliams; and brother, Charles “Butch” Blazer. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel at Rose Hill Burial Park with Pastor Paul Dowdy officiating.
