Patty Jo Ridgell

Patty Jo Ridgell, 78, of Springfield, went home to be with the Lord early Saturday morning July 13, 2024, at Ohio Hospice, Springfield Ohio. She was born November 6, 1945, at the family farm in Greene County, Ohio, the daughter of William E. and Clara R. (Ingram) Jones. Patty Jo graduated from Xenia High School. She was a licensed beautician and went on to retire from Hope Homes in Fairborn Ohio. Patty Jo accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Third Baptist Church. Patty Jo enjoyed gardening and family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Frank, Russell, Wilfred, William Jr. and Thedore Jones, sisters; Almeda (Jones) Harshaw, Elsie Jones and Cynthia (Jones) Greene. Patty Jo is survived by one son and daughter in law; Herman and Karen Banks Jr., eleven grandchildren; Michael (Brittany) Walker, Justalin Harris, Cierra (Renee) Pendleton, Justus (Amanda) Banks, Philp Banks, Adianna Jones, Isiah Banks, Ike Banks, Decklan Banks, Miriah Alspaugh and Alaina Alspaugh, nine great grandchildren plus a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to express gratitude to everyone for their kind expressions of love and sympathy by cards, visits, comforting words, prayers and all the thoughtful ways of kindness during the illness and passing of our loved one. A celebration of Patty Jo’s life will be held at the New Life Christian Assembly, 436 East Main Street, Xenia, Ohio on Saturday, July 27, 2024, beginning at 1:00 PM.
