Paul Edward "Eddie" Bolin 59, passed away unexpectedly May 19th 2021 at his residence in Springfield Ohio. Eddie was born May 9 1962 in Oak Ridge Tennessee, and was raised in New Carlisle Ohio where he attended public schools, graduating from Clark County JVS in 1980. He enlisted in the Navy following graduation, where he proudly served for ten years as an Avionics Electronics Specialist, receiving several commendations. He sailed the seas, and was a salty dog! Eddie played bass guitar in several bands, where he contributed to writing and recording numerous songs. He was most proud of co-founding the ZZ Top tribute band XYZZ, and spent countless hours perfecting the act. His passion for music extended well beyond playing bass guitar, and included building and repairing stringed instruments and amplifiers. A true jack-of-all-trades, there wasn't anything he couldn't fix. Eddie is survived by his long time girlfriend Peggy Rouse, four children, Chad Bolin, Atoka (Chris) Brown, Devon Chakiris, and Paulee Bolin. Eight grandchildren, Kiera, Syrien, Jazzilyn, Isaac and Jensen Bolin, Ryan and Jayden Brown, and Leo Chakiris, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as numerous friends.He was preceeded in death by his father, James P. Bolin, mother, Charlotte (McKinney) Wirz, brothers, Mike and Kenny Bolin, sister Connie Bolin and niece Erica Bolin. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Sunday June 6th from 2-4 p.m. at Jones Kenney & Zechman Funeral Home 1002 East High St. Springfield Ohio. Interment with military honors will be held Wednesday June 9th at 1:00 p.m. at the Dayton National Cemetery 4400 West Third St Dayton Ohio.
