Paul Emerson Jones, age 84, of South Charleston, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of his family after living a long and meaningful life. Paul was born in South Charleston, Ohio, the place he always called home.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Roberts and John Sherman Jones. He was also reunited in rest with his beloved siblings Rubye, Sonny, Lois, and Kathleen. In addition, he was preceded in death by his cherished niece Debbie and his daughter Misty.
He leaves behind a large family who will continue to carry his memory forward. He is survived by his sisters Marlene and Alice (Aly); his sons John, Paul “Little Paul,” Brian, Chris, and daughter Wendi (Shawn) and his beloved lifelong friend Sharon Gallamore. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who loved him dearly.
Among those who held a special place in his heart were his grandchildren Dayshia and Liberty Bowshier and Samantha Jones. He also adored his great-grandson Juliah Emerson, whom he lovingly called “Little Tiger.”
Paul will be remembered for the love he had for his family, the stories he shared, and the lasting impact he left on the generations that followed him. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.
Per Paul’s request, there will be no formal funeral services held. The family plans to hold an end-of-life ceremony at a later date to celebrate his life.
