Pauline Knott, 85, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 30, 1939 in Waterloo, Ohio, the daughter of Nathan and Geneva (Jones) Rapp. Pauline had retired from Echo Thermometer and was a member of the VFW Post 3660. She had enjoyed going for car rides in the country and mowing her yard. Survivors include eight daughters, Brenda Smith, Bonnie Lynn, Darlene Matthews, Debbie (Bryan) Stewart, Pam Long, Patty Murnahan, Lisa (Tim) McEnaney, and Paulina Judy (Terry Knapp); three sisters, Esther Rapp, Carol Levalley, and Nancy Green; two granddaughters who she raised, Tonya and Jennifer; best friend, Linda Glant; 24 other grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Knott on April 21, 2012; three grandsons, John Earl, Josh, and Justin Smith; sons-in-law, Lloyd Smith and Mike Matthews; several brothers and sisters; and her parents. Visitation will be held from 2-3 pm Friday in the chapel at Rose Hill Burial Park, with a time to share memories at 2:30 pm. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
