Penny Jo Richards

Penny Jo Richards, 60, of Springfield, passed away October 30, 2025, in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born February 12, 1965, in Springfield, the daughter of Alfred and Rosetta (Rickman) Cooper. Penny’s favorite pastime was spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter; Crystal Richards, two grandchildren; Amiyah and Nia, siblings; Bucky Cooper (Penny), Ralph Cooper (Jan), Candy Arnett, Darla Severt, Paul Cooper (Jackie) and Curtis Cooper (Tina), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; Jeff Richards in 2006, her son; Justin Cooper and her parents. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME followed by funeral services at 8:00PM with Pastor Paul Dowdy officiating.
