Robert Hollingsworth Obituary

Robert Andrew Hollingsworth, 76, of Springfield and formerly of Allentown, PA, went home to be with his loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 21, 2021 at the Dayton VA Hospital. He was born on February 1, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Howard and Elizabeth (Rischel) Hollingsworth. Mr. Hollingsworth was a Signalman 2nd  class in the U.S. Navy, where he served four tours of duty in Vietnam aboard the USS Truxtun. He retired from Moore Business Forms after 21 years. Robert was a member of Valleyview Baptist Church in Northampton, PA and Victory Baptist Church in Springfield, OH. He loved bicycling and repairing bikes for others. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Linda L. (Bina) Hollingsworth; two sons, David (Deb) Hollingsworth and Jeff (Bernice) Hollingsworth; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Alice) Hollingsworth; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by one nephew and his parents. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Victory Baptist Church, 2691 W. Possum Rd., Springfield, OH 45506. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
