Robert Edward ("Bob") Huenke

     Robert Edward “Bob” Huenke, 82, of Springfield, passed away June 4, 2025, in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born November 16, 1942, in Springfield, the son of Robert Lamar and Catherine (Mulcahy) Huenke. Bob was a member of Saint Bernard Catholic Church. He enjoyed woodworking, playing golf, working on old cars, mowing the yard and doing yard work, traveling with his wife Shirley, especially to Florida and spending time with his loving family. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Robbins and Myers. Survivors include three children, Christopher (Jody) Huenke, Nicole (Darren) Schimmoller and Timothy (Bethany) Huenke; grandchildren; Matthew Schimmoller, Jake (Rachel) Schimmoller and Jordan Beller; three great granddaughters, Sophia, Alayna and Emma, three sisters; Kay (Robert) Ouinton, Marilyn (Rudy) Manderson and Joann Huenke and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Marie Huenke on April 11, 2025, one brother, Mike Huenke and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Deacon Earl Rogers officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services.
