Robert Eugene Huff

Robert Eugene Huff, 87, of Springfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 30, 2024 in Oakwood Village. He was born April 3, 1937 in Springfield, the son of Charles and Mildred Elizabeth (Moore) Huff. Mr. Huff loved watching baseball and playing euchre, and in his younger years he coached boys little league. Anyone who knew Mr. Huff knew he liked to talk baseball for hours. He had been employed at C. E. Bauer and Micro Enterprises. Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years; Irma Sue (McNier) Huff, two daughters; Roxie Koerner and Jennifer Huff, five grandchildren; Michael Robert (Alejandra) Price, Jordan Huff, Justin Huff, Mary Koerner and Evan Koerner, five great-grandchildren; Annabella Leuck, Kayleigh Leuck, Braxton Price, Liliana Price and Wyatt Price and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son; Charles Jeffery Huff, siblings; Kenneth, James, Melvin, Pete and Bruce Huff, Donna Farmer and Roberta Thomas. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 5 in the First United Church of Christ, 2000 East High Street, Springfield with Pastor Gail Eastwood officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until the services begin in the church. Mr. Huff’s family would like to give special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Jared Meadows and family, Hospice Care 360, the staff at Oakwood Village, the staff at the Heart House and Dr. Neravetla and his staff.
