Robert "Bob" Allen Mitchell

Robert “Bob” Allen Mitchell, 64, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025. He was born May 10, 1961 in Chillicothe, Ohio, the son of Shirley Jean (Sanders) and George Edward Mitchell, Sr. Bob graduated from Springfield North High School and had worked at O’Cedar Vining Broom and Payton Auction House for several years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, building model cars, and he loved to mow the grass. Survivors include one son, Robert Dale “Little Bob” (Rhonda) Mitchell; siblings, Susan (John) Wagner, Patricia (Jeff) Hicks, George “Porky” Mitchell, Jr., Marilyn Griffitts, Joyce (Doug) Hoagland, and Gene “Buggie” (Vaunie) Mitchell; grandchildren, Breanna, Montannia, and Jazzlynn Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Harmony and Ally Mitchell; wife, Patricia (Blevins) Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Maxine Standley. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
