Roger L. Hawes Jr.

    Roger L. Hawes Jr, 49, of Springfield, passed away December 10, 2025, in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born September 22, 1976, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Mary (Smith) (Hawes) Rife and Roger L. Hawes Sr. Roger attended Emanuel’s Promise Church. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his loving family and friends. Survivors include his mother; Mary Rife, two children; Michael Hawes and Mishelle Hawes, siblings; Sabrina (Scott) Everhart and Jonathan (Julia) Hawes, nieces; Cheyenne Howard and Hunter Howard, nephews; Nathaniel Hawes and Noah Hawes and Roger’s loving companion; Teresa Clauson. He was preceded in death by his father and step father; Frank Rife. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday, December 16, 2025, in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will follow at 8:00PM with Pastor Wally Mason officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Roger’s family to help with final expenses.
