Ronald T. Murray

     Ronald T. Murray, 90, of Springfield, passed away July 22. 2025, in Good Shepherd Village surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 9, 1935, in Frankfort, Kentucky, the son of Jacob Franklin and Anna Katherine (Brawner) Murray. Mr. Murray was an accomplished musician. He enjoyed writing music and playing his guitar. He had appeared on American Bandstand and the Grand Ole Opry. He also enjoyed working on cars. Ronald was retired from Navistar. Survivors include three children; Darla A. (Alan) Davis, Ronald D. (Karen) Murray and Katherine Kay (Keith) Ackerman, two grandchildren; Chad Ackerman and Josh (Danielle) Ackerman, one great grandson; Braedon Lyburtus Ackerman, siblings; Carol Faith Eades, Richard “Dickie” Murray and Sharon Sue (Butch) Williams and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Lila Anita Murray on November 30, 2023, siblings; Robert “Bobby” Murray, Doris Class, Marjorie Boggs and Gilbert Murray and his parents. A celebration of Mr. Murray’s life will be held at 1:00PM Friday in the First Assembly of God Church, 515 South Burnett Road, Springfield, Ohio 45505, with Kenny Matzol officiating.
