Rosetta "Rosie" (Rickman) Cooper

Rosetta “Rosie” Cooper, 94, of Springfield, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024 in Villa Springfield Rehab and Healthcare Center. She was born December 26, 1929 in Fayette County, Ohio, the daughter of Walter and Laura (McGraw) Rickman. Rosie enjoyed playing bingo and going to garage sales. Survivors include her children, Buck (Penny) Cooper, Curtis (Tina) Cooper, Ralph (Jan) Cooper, Candy Arnett, Darla Severt, Penny Richards, and Paul (Jackie) Cooper; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Curtis Cooper; siblings, Eugene Rickman, Ernestine Wilmeth, and Trilby Frost; and her parents. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Villa Springfield, and especially nurse Mary, for the excellent care they took of Rosie. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Paul Dowdy officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services.
