Rudolfo “Rudy” G. Hernandez, 68, of Springfield Ohio, gained his wings and went home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2026. He was born July 7, 1957 to David and Alicia Hernandez. Rudy never knew a stranger and was always helping people out. He attended South High School and worked as a grounds man for Ferncliff Cemetery. He loved to play jokes and tricks on people and enjoyed listening to Mexican music. Rudy’s memory will be cherished by his siblings; Cresenciano (Ellie) Cruz of Bakersfield, CA, Grace Flenniken of Rockhill, SC, Olga Hess, Rachel (Tony) Clay, David (Joe) Hernandez, Yolanda Castaneda, Alicia (Mario) Hunter, Christina Hernandez, and special nephew Vincent (Carol) McCoy, all of Springfield OH. He was loved by a host of nieces nephews, and cousins. Rudolfo was blessed to be loved by two families: brothers Chris, Kevin, Brian, and sisters Angie and Anna. Rudy was preceded in death by his mother Alicia and father David, and sister Barbara Ann. Special Thanks to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton and The Ohio State University’s James Cancer Center. Special Thanks to Terrence Sledge and Erica Tompson for the guidance and support through Rudy’s Journey.
