Sandra L. Nixon

Sandra L. Nixon, 84, of Springfield, passed away on January 4, 2025 in her home. She was born November 8, 1940 in Springfield, the daughter of Farris and Mary (Thomas) Bowman. Sandra enjoyed ceramics and loved flowers. She had attended Point of Grace Church. Survivors include her two children, David (Elizabeth) Nixon of Brownsville, TN and Cathey Nixon of Springfield; siblings, Karon Bowman-Miller and Timothy (Mary) Bowman; special friend, Gloria Zumbrum; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Nixon; brother, Ron Bowman; and her parents. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday in the funeral home with burial to follow at Vernon Asbury Cemetery. Condolences may be shared with Sandra’s family at www.jkzfh.com.
