Sharon Eileen Novak

Sharon Eileen Novak, 79, of Springfield, passed away December 22, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born September 1, 1945 in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of Robert Lee and Betty J. (Diment) Newman. Sharon had received her bachelor’s degree in business and accounting from Texas Tech at age 54, graduating with honors. She became the CFO at the medical center in Waverly, Ohio and was there for many years before retirement. She was a member of the Berea Bible Church. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, and was known for her beautiful rose plants. Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Donald Novak; two sons, Jerry (Rebecca) Novak and Lonnie (Kimmy) Novak; two grandchildren, Rachel McGill and Tyler Novak; brother, Randy Newman; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Michael Novak; three brothers; and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday in the Berea Bible Church, 3850 Derr Rd. Springfield, OH. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
