Steve Spears, 74 of London, Ohio, ended his life’s journey on December 16, 2024 with his wife and daughters by his side. He was born January 6, 1950 to Hamer and Madeline (Colliver) Spears. Seve farmed for 30 years and was a talented woodworker, who along with his wife owned and operated Spears Antiques and Restorations. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cheryl (Junk) Spears; his two daughters, Amy Spears and Amanda (Eric) Zizelman, who devoted 24 hour care to him during the last two weeks of his life; and two grandchildren, Maya and Evan Zizelman, with whom he started a family tradition— “The Spears Pumpkin Patch.” Other survivors include sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carole and Don Neff; nephew, Scott (Amanda) Neff; and two great nieces, Zoe and Cora Neff. The family would like to thank Dr. Bo and his entire staff at Springfield Cancer Center for the compassionate care they gave Steve. They would also like to thank Ohio’s Hospice for their guidance and supportive care of Steve. Contributions can be made to the MDS Foundation (Myelodysplastic Syndrome). Per Steve’s wishes, a private family service will be held. The family has entrusted his care to the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be shared with Steve’s family at www.jkzfh.com.
