Susan Joy Bowermeister

Susan Joy Bowermeister passed away in her home on August 23, 2025. She was born on October 17, 1975 to David and Connie (Roberts) Bowermeister.

Her middle name certainly describes her as a child. She was always happy and loved to tease her father. He was “her basketball in the court of life”. Her mother, a librarian, instilled a love of books in Susan. Throughout her life she enjoyed collecting and reading books.

In her middle and high school years Susan developed a love for playing the guitar. Out of this developed her “Songs for Healing”. When requested she would compose and record songs especially for people who were going through tough times. One can find videos of Susan performing some of her compositions on either You Tube or Reverb Nation.

After high school Susan became a certified travel agent which led to employment with Fairfield Inn, Red Roof Inn, and Continental Airlines. She especially enjoyed her work with the airlines as she found happiness in helping people deal with the frustrations of traveling. She was known for her friendly service to the public and of her love for her fellow workers.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Lilly Willow; father, David Bowermeister; and brother and sister-in-law Tim and Lisa (Pozzuto) Bowermeister. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother, Connie Roberts Bowermeister.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 11 in the United Church of South Vienna, in South Vienna, Ohio. Visitation from 9:30-11:00 with service following at 11:00 am. Private burial services will be held at a later date.
