Sylvia “Ashli” Hodson, 38, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, October 21st, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
Ashli was born on April 17, 1987, the oldest daughter of James Hodson and Belinda Wilson-Massie. A 2005 graduate of Springfield South High School and JVS, she had worked in the healthcare field for a few short years before she was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure.
Ashli loved horror movies, reading, cooking and spending time with her family.
Ashli is survived by her father, James (Sonja) Hodson of Marion, Ohio; her mother, Belinda (Dale) Wilson-Massie of Pensacola, Florida; her only sibling, Amanda Engle; five nieces that she was an amazing aunt to: Ashton Mia’Linn, Peydin Rae’Linn, Haven Dae’Linn, Haisley Xae’Linn, and Tylee Eza’Linn; Aunts and Uncles, Gary (Romy) Wilson; Cathy Craig (Blake Miller), Kim (Gary) Boone; and many cousins. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Kenzie Marie and Luca Blue.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Cecil and Betty (Cornell) Wilson, and her aunt, Carrie Young.
There will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday from 3:00–6:00 p.m. at the American Legion, 1913 E. Pleasant St., Springfield.
