Timmie D. “Tim” Fent, 78, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 6, 1947 in Springfield, the son of Leroy and Mary (Manns) Fent. Tim was a proud United States Army Veteran and had served in Vietnam as a medic. He retired from Navistar after 30 years. He was a member of the Eagles #397 and AMVETS Post 25. He was an avid golfer and bowler and was inducted into the Clark County Bowling Hall of Fame in 2021. He dearly loved watching his grandkids play sports. Survivors include his beloved wife, Robin (Cottrell) Fent; children, Tim (Jennifer) Reid, Andy, Kari Fletcher; stepdaughter, Ainsley (Ray) Winwood; grandchildren, Colin, Jenna, Jordin (Isabel), Jaden, Savana (Matt), Aliza (Sara), Kaija, and Cailey; great-grandchildren, Romani, Bradlee, and Ansel; siblings, Ronnie, Millie (Jerry), and Susie; sister-in-law, Marilyn; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by siblings, Harold, JoAnn, and Roger, and his parents. Tim was a friendly guy with many lifelong friends. He will be dearly missed.
