Timothy “Tim” Lynn Lanier passed away on May 14th, 2025, at 65.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Lanier, his mother, Iva, and brother in spirit Mark Markins.
Tim previously attended TAC and created many friendships. For the past few years, Tim attended Self Reliance ADS, where he continued to share his love and forge bonds. The ability he had to impact the lives of others with love and kindness is unmatched & remains his legacy.
Words can never do justice to explain who Tim was and the pure sunshine that he radiated daily. There could never be a sad face around him, and if there was, he would quickly ask what’s wrong and try to help. He was incredibly selfless, always worrying and thinking of others. You would know Tim’s voice anywhere, and you would hear it, especially if he knew your name. With the exclamation of, “I’m here,” with his hands out, then resting at the small of his back, no one could make an entrance better.
You will not have to look far for him because his memory will be with us forever. When you’re putting on your glasses or drinking coffee. Dancing to a familiar song, coloring a picture of Spiderman, or bowling. Perhaps you’re having a bad day and need to give someone the claw, or it’s a good day & you hear that jubilant woohoo! Remember to get your haircut, shave, brush your teeth and always, always clear out clutter so it’s not junk.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30PM Tuesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, South Charleston, Ohio. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
