Timothy "Tim" Wayne Lansing, Sr.

Timothy Wayne Lansing Sr., known affectionately as Tim to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, at the age of 61 in Springfield, Ohio. Born on July 26, 1963, in Washington Court House, Ohio, Tim was a cherished son, brother, father, and friend who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.

Tim grew up in the close-knit community of Washington Court House, then moved to Springfield where he attended Shawnee High School. His early years were filled with fond memories, and it was here that he developed his lifelong passion for NASCAR, with Mark Martin being his all-time favorite driver. Tim's love of the sport was only matched by his enthusiasm for collectibles, especially his treasured Hot Wheels, which he collected with great joy and pride.

After high school, Tim found his calling as a fabricator and dedicated many years of service to Fontaine, where he was not only respected for his work ethic and skill but also loved for his camaraderie and sense of humor. His colleagues at Fontaine became a second family to him, and he cherished the time spent working alongside them.

Tim's personal life was filled with love and laughter, thanks in large part to his beloved family. He is survived by his devoted mother, Janet Lansing, who instilled in him the values of kindness and perseverance. His father, Ronald Lansing, predeceased him, but Tim continued to honor his legacy through his own actions and the lessons he passed on to his children. Tim's siblings, Brien and Eric Lansing, will remember him as a protective and playful brother who was always ready with a joke or a helping hand. His children, Elizabeth “Beth” Lansing and Timothy “Tim” (Elizabeth) Lansing Jr. and his 2 granddaughters were the pride and joy of his life. Finally, Tim is survived by his partner of many years, Diana Arms.

The world has lost a remarkable man in Timothy Wayne Lansing Sr., but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. As we say goodbye to Tim, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of passion, warmth, and the unbridled joy of a race enthusiast. His was a journey marked by devotion to his family, dedication to his craft, and an unwavering love for the simple pleasures in life. Tim will be dearly missed, but his legacy will race on in the lives of those he touched. Arrangements are being handled by JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 1-2pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Springfield, Ohio. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com
