Tommy “Buick” Michael Adkins, 77, of South Charleston, went to heaven on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born May 7, 1948 in Springfield, the son of Jimmy and Geneva “Genie” (Botkin) Adkins. Tommy was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Landair Transport, where he had worked as a dock supervisor. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, including boating, fishing, golfing, and mushroom hunting. He also enjoyed playing cards with friends. He was an avid fan of both the Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Reds. Survivors include his stepson, David (Laura) Lecocq; grandson, Caleb South; nephews, Robert (Lori) Fenwick and Trevor Fenwick; great-nieces, Lindsey (Dan) Cunningham and Kaylee (Ryan) Lewis; brother-in-law, James Fenwick; special friends, Kathy Lecocq and Sylvia Hicks; and dear friends/neighbors, Annie and Mason. He was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Fenwick, and his parents. Military honors and burial will take place at Dayton National Cemetery on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 10:00 am.
