Vera Belle (Bowman) Keeton

Vera Belle (Bowman) Keeton passed away August 20 , 2021 in Springfield Ohio.

Vera was born to Ralph and Minnie Bowman November 9, 1936.  Her family lived in Amanda Ohio.  Vera was sister to Norma Jean Henderly, Carl Bowman, Donald Bowman and Paul Bowman.  She graduated from Amanda Clearcreek High School in 1954.

Vera met and married Elmo Keeton in Amanda in 1956.  They were married for 54 years until Elmo's death in 2010.  She lived in Baltimore, Ohio when raising her family.  After she lived mainly in Oak Hill, Florida and Jamestown, New York.  Vera was a member of the local Methodist church at Baltimore and New Symerna Beach Florida.  She had a love of gardening and was active in the Basil Garden Club, New Symerna Beach Garden Club and served as officer in Ohio association of garden clubs.  She looked forward to flower shows and the county fair.  She worked at Nationwide Insurance in Columbus for 25 years.  Vera was a loving and dedicated mother amd made friends everywhere.  She was always ready to host dinner or attend a party with family and friends.

Vera is survived by her daughter Connie (Dan) Evans of Jamestown, New York.  Their children Nick Evans and Madeline Evans.  Her son Chris (Sandy) Keeton of Springfield, Ohio.  Their children Wes (Krystal) Keeton and Anna (Zach) McCloud.  And her great grandson Dexter Keeton.

Memorial services are not planned at this time.  Remember Vera when you look at a garden or visit friends.
