Virginia L. Mowell

Virginia L. Mowell, 91, of Springfield, passed away October 2, 2024 at Springfield Regional Hospital. She was born March 6, 1933 in Jackson, Ohio, the daughter of Charles Ott and Elsie (Allen) Dennin. Virginia enjoyed fishing, flowers and gardening, going to garage sales, and sitting on her front porch. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Survivors include five children, Charlotte Johnson, Becky Burke, Linda Peshek, Sandra (Mike) Gootee, and Steve (Vicki) Pinkerman; grandchildren, Erica and Haili Pinkerman, Benjamin Peshek, Tabitha Henson, Monica Hoops, Michael Gootee, Julie Atchison, and Adam Stickney; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence J. Mowell on December 15, 2016; three brothers; two sisters; and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10-11 am.
