Obituary
Walter Alonzo Tyler Sr., 89, of Springfield, passed away March 10, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 25, 1933, in Newport News, Virginia the son of Allen Hill Tyler Sr., and Mary Elenora (Booth) Tyler. Mr. Tyler enjoyed all kinds of sports and spending time with his loving family. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from Navistar in Indianapolis, Indiana. Survivors include his children; Paul L. Tyler, Kimberly D. Tyler, Paul A. Tyler and Walter A. Tyler Jr., several grandchildren and great grandchildren, siblings; Charles D. (Tiny B.) Tyler Sr., Allen D. Tyler, sister-in-law; Lillian B. Tyler, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; Antoinette Tyler, sisters; Juanita Tyler and Ruth Macklin brothers; Allen Hill Tyler Jr., Warren F. Tyler Sr. and William P. Tyler Sr. and his parents. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Air Force military honors will be presented at 4:00PM .Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
