Wayne Reynolds Obituary

Wayne Benjamin Reynolds, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, in Kettering, Ohio. Born on April 19, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio, Wayne's life was a testament to his unwavering strength, love for his family, and dedication to his community. Wayne's journey began as the beloved son of the late Charles and Helen Rowland Reynolds. He grew up in a bustling household alongside his siblings, Jeff, Sandy, and the late Charles Reynolds. Wayne's early years in Columbus were filled with the warmth of family and the forging of lifelong friendships. In his youth, Wayne answered the call to serve his country and became a proud Marine. His service was a profound period of his life, instilling in him values of discipline and honor that he carried throughout his days. After his military service, Wayne returned to his roots in Ohio and embarked on a fulfilling career with the Clark County Engineer's office. His dedication as a hard worker was evident to all who knew him, and he retired with the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He was not one to sit around, so he took up another career at multiple auto-parts stores in the area. Wayne found his greatest joy in the love of his life, Gloria Reynolds. Together, they built a family that became Wayne's pride and joy. He was a strong figure to his sons, Shawn Reynolds (Jennifer) and Wayne Reynolds Jr. (Rosie). Wayne's legacy continued to flourish with the birth of his nine grandchildren, Nathan Reynolds, Bradley Reynolds, Tony Springer, Anthony trout (Ashley), Zach Reynolds, Troy Reynolds (Courtney), Dynum Reynolds, Shawna Reynolds, Elizabeth Reynolds (Dalton) & Bonus granddaughter Arieanna; a special great granddaughter Renesamae and six great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense happiness and pride to his life. A man of many interests, Wayne was an avid bowler, sharing his passion and competitive spirit with friends and family alike. He was also a dedicated member of the Eagles, where he enjoyed camaraderie and community involvement. Wayne's life reflected his values—family, hard work, and service. Wayne leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. He is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria; his loving sons, Shawn (Jennifer) and Wayne Jr. (Rosie); his caring siblings, Jeff and Sandy; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward. Wayne's life was a beautiful tapestry of devotion and service, and his memory will be cherished in the hearts of his family and friends forever. As we bid farewell to Wayne Benjamin Reynolds, we celebrate a life well-lived life full of purpose, love, and unwavering commitment to those he held dear. His spirit will continue to inspire us all in the days to come. Arrangements are being made by JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
