Wendell L. Mefford

                        Wendell L. Mefford, 94, of Springfield, passed away August 8, 2018 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born June 4, 1924 in Lewis County, Kentucky, the son of Sylvester and Jane (Stricklett) Mefford. Mr. Mefford was a member of the Hillside Avenue Church of God. He was a Veteran of the Army Air Corp and was retired from Bordens following forty years of service. He is survived by one son; Terry Mefford, Springfield and one step daughter; Lynn Fisher, Lima, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wives; Thelma Louise (Blevins) Mefford and Betty J. (Fisher) Mefford, brothers; Calvin, Lawrence, Elmer and Kenneth Mefford and sisters; Ellen Doyle, Dorothy Lyons and Nellie Mefford. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Larry Cook officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services.
