73 of Springfield passed away peacefully at his home on June 21, 2026.
Billy was born in Meigs County, Ohio on July 11, 1952 to William Cornelius Jacks and Mona Jean (Hysell) Jacks.
Billy worked for German Township, Johnson Vendors, and Deney Construction. Hobbies included: car shows, attending the demolition derby, and flea markets. Billy also enjoyed the outdoors.
Billy was a loving brother and son, a good father, and an excellent grandfather. He could be a little rough on the outside, but he had a big heart and loved his family. He will truly be missed.
Billy is survived by his beautiful mother, Mona Jean Jacks of Springfield; his siblings, Yvonne Wall of North Carolina, Barbara (Alex) Turner of Springfield, Janet Musser of Kentucky, and Wayne “Dean” Jacks of Springfield; his children, William Thomas and Amanda Jacks of Springfield, Kelly Pinnell, Billy Dee Jacks, Jeremiah Eugene Jacks, Sara Jacks, Holly (Brandon) Dixon of Springfield, Jamie (Mark Campbell) Rutherford of Springfield, Joel (Ashleigh Maddox) Lino; his grandchildren, Tommy, Billy, Jacob, Levi, Ezra, David, Aaron Jacks, Ozdyn Jacks, Alishia and Tyler Pinnell, Daisy and Violet, Nicholas (Heather) and Emily Rutherford, Gabriel and Malachi Plummer, Courtney (Barry) Wilson, Bayleigh (Joe Malone) Davis, Joleena, Aurrora, Kaiden, Kolton, Tucker, Saddie, and Camila Lino; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; special nephew, Chad Jacks; best friend of 50 years, Billy Stokes of Springfield. Billy was preceded in death by his father, William Cornelius Jacks; his brother, Dwayne “Don” Jacks; his daughter, Kelly Davis; his grandson, Mark-James Rutherford and a sister; Theresa Jacks
Funeral is Friday at Jones Kenney Zechman funeral home located at 1002 E High St, Springfield, OH 45505. Showing for family is at 9am, friends at 10am, and funeral begins at 11am. Funeral procession to McConkey Cemetery to follow. A meal will be provided afterwards at Apostolic Sanctuary located at 6976 Terre Haute Rd, Urbana, OH 43078.
