William Edward King, “Bill”, 69, of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly on July 24, 2024. He was born on November 17, 1954, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Harold Degaston and Ruth Elouise (Davis) King. Bill owned and operated his own welding business and there he found his passion for welding. Bill was very devoted to his work. No job was too small or too large. Every person from one individual to the large companies, Bill treated everyone the same. Sone of the big jobs were the Springfield YMCA, hanging the jogging track and the Springfield Country Club buildings. He will be remembered and missed by many. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include; Terry Ryder of South Vienna, son; Jeff Kubes of Fairborn, son; Joseph Ryder of Springfield and daughter; Jenny Ryder of South Vienna, grandchildren include; Elinor Kubes, Lexy Ryder, Camden Ryder, Hailey Jenkins, Levi Jenkins and Zander Shaw, and several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many close friends. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME from 2:00PM until 5:00PM.
