William "Bill" Edward Draper

William Edward “Bill” Draper, 81, of Springfield, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024 at Springfield Assisted Living. He was born October 19, 1943 in Springfield to William Henry Harrison and Eleanor Louise (Brown) Draper. Bill had worked for many years as a professional carpet layer. He enjoyed fishing, watching tv, and he loved his cat, Lucky. Survivors include his brother, Robert (Cheryl) Draper; sister, Ellen Kitchens (John Hayes); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Draper; mother, Eleanor Jayjohn; twin brother, Willie Draper; sisters, Violet Jayjohn and Fanny; and brother, Art Draper. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm Friday in the chapel at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 2-2:30 pm in the chapel. Inurnment will follow.
