William "Willie" Oneal Fick

William “Willie” Oneal Fick, 45, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025. He was born June 12, 1979 in Springfield, the son of Douglas Nelson and Shirley Anne (Fowler) Fick. Willie graduated from Springfield South High School, where he played football and baseball all through his school years. He loved all sports and was very athletic. He was an avid fan of OSU football, and he loved a good practical joke, just as long as he was the one pulling the prank. Willie didn’t know a stranger. He enjoyed attending his kid’s activities. Survivors include his parents; two children, Ethan and Falynn; sister, Melissa Fick; brother, Anthony Fick; mother of his children, Diane Frantz; nieces and nephews, Taylor, Adrian, Aleksander, and Aaliyah; great-nephew, Christopher; aunts and uncles, Tammy (Brian) Wolinski, Richie (Linda) Fowler, and Donna (Danny) Wick; and his beloved dog and companion, Diamond. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Judy Fowler and William and Eunice Fick. A celebration of Willie’s life will be held at a later date.
