Yvonne Bowen

Yvonne Bowen, 66, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born June 2, 1958 in Springfield, the daughter of Clarence and Alta (Persinger) Bowen. Yvonne enjoyed participating in the Springfield Youth Baseball Bingo and watching the Andy Griffith Show on tv. She leaves behind to cherish her memory three children, Melissa Sloan, Crystal Brown (Rodney Dillow), and Paul Brown (Amanda Sawyer); grandchildren, Shaun, Carlee, Madison, and Selena; three great-grandchildren; brother, Steve Bowen; sisters, Connie Bowen and Rebecca Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Isaiah; her significant other, Ernest Shoemaker; brothers, Paul and Clarence Bowen; sister, Mary Overholser; and her parents. Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm Wednesday, February 19 in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 pm.
